Typical Applications

• Bricklaying & blockwork mortars

• Plastering/rendering (interior and exterior walls)

• Floor screeds & bedding layers

• General concrete: pathways, steps, bases, edging, post holes, light structural elements

Mixing Guidelines (by volume)

Use clean, potable water and quality sands/aggregates. Adjust water to achieve a workable, cohesive mix—avoid over-watering.

• Mortar (brick/block): 1 part cement : 4–6 parts plaster/building sand

• Plaster/render: 1 part cement : 4–5 parts plaster sand (optional plasticiser per instructions)

• Screed (25–40 mm): 1 part cement : 3–4 parts river sand (damp, “earth-like” consistency)

• General concrete (≈15–20 MPa): 1 part cement : 2–3 parts sand : 3–4 parts 19 mm stone

Placement & Finishing: Place within ~1 hour of mixing (faster in hot/windy weather). Compact properly and finish as required.

Curing

Begin curing as soon as the surface has set. Keep the work continuously moist for at least 7 days (or use an appropriate curing compound). Protect fresh work from rapid drying, rain, and frost.

Handling & Storage

• Supplied in a 50 kg moisture-resistant bag

• Store in a cool, dry, covered area on pallets, off the floor

• Reseal opened bags and use promptly; follow FIFO (first-in, first-out)

Safety

Cement is alkaline. Wear gloves, eye protection, and a dust mask. Avoid skin/eye contact and inhalation of dust. Wash with clean water after use and keep out of reach of children.
